If you love minimal ingredient snack recipes that whip up in no time then you need to try these absolutely delicious Sweet & Spicy Roasted Nuts.
I love myself a good can of mixed nuts, I can sit down and just munch on them all day long. They are just so good, and my mom used to do that so it kinda transferred too me.
We usually try to keep multiple different nut’s in our house just to munch on or to bake with because they make good ingredients and snacks.
These Sweet & Spicy Roasted Nuts are one recipe that I like to make this time of year and give as gifts! I love giving food gifts and these are ones I do a lot.
You can always go out and buy yourself some specialty nut mixes to give, but there is no heart in that. Making your own homemade version is what I love best.
When it comes to these Sweet & Spicy Nuts you get exactly that. And I love that there is both sweet aspects and spicy aspects to this recipe.
It really mellows each of the flavors out where it creates a delicious and tasty flavor with each and every handful, yes I eat these by the handful, don’t judge me!

They have a little spice, a little sweetness and the roasted flavor from the oven which really makes this an all around delicious dish to eat!
I know that they don’t last long when we set them out at gatherings, people seem to gravitate towards nuts for some reason, so we keep making them.
I’ve been asked for this recipe so many times so I figured it was high time that I gave it to all my lovely readers so you can have a fun and easy recipe for your gatherings.
These are also good for game day! They are perfect I my opinion for any time, all seasons, all times of day, just all the time.
That coating looks absolutely delicious! Perfectly roasted in!
Some of my other favorite recipes that I like to give as gifts includes Hot Chocolate Bombs, Microwave Caramel Sauce and White Chocolate Peppermint Popcorn.
HOW TO STORE ROASTED NUTS:
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week at room temperature or 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
So if you plan on giving these as gifts for the holidays and want to make them ahead of time then I would recommend that you do place them in the refrigerator.
But they are ready to go right after baking as well, you can place in little cellophane baggies with a twist tie or in jars, etc. However you want to present them is perfect.
We usually use the cellophane baggies because it’s simpler and they can just dump them out and eat them and discard the bag afterwards.
And like I said previously you can easily double this batch to make more, if you do this then I would highly recommend storing the leftovers in the refrigerator.
Don’t they look so good? I just want to reach through my screen and grab a handful and eat! Roasted Nuts really make on of the best appetizers ever.
I have never had anyone not like these, but I can see if you don’t like sweet and heat together where you wouldn’t but trust me, it really works together!
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- If using unsalted nuts, use salted butter or add ยฝ teaspoon of salt.
- For the holidays, add a few sprigs of rosemary to the pan for additional flavor while the nuts roast.
- Garnish with minced herbs or flakey salt, if desired.
- I use mixed nuts, but this recipe can use any combination of nuts or just one kind as long as itโs 2 lbs worth.
- Up to 2 tablespoons of brown sugar can be added if you want a stronger sweet heat flavor.
