We love party or snack mixes around here. They are a staple and whenever we have a gathering it is something someone always brings.
This Ranch Air Fryer Chex Mix is one of my favorites. We have been making it for a long time, but it was time to try it in our air fryer and it worked perfectly.
If you don’t have an air fryer, I highly recommend that you get one, it is so versatile and can be use fo alllll the things.
You’d be so surprised at all the recipes you can make in the air fryer, it’s crazy. Even companies are putting directions on their packaging now because it’s become so popular.
WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- With only 6 ingredients and 5 minutes it whips up super quick.
- The ingredients and mixture really mesh together well.
- This serve a nice large crowd but you can double the recipe if you are serving more.
We love pretty much any kind of snack mixes or snacks in general not just only Chex Mix but allll of the mixes, some of our favorites include Cherry Chocolate Pistachio Trail Mix, Puppy Chow and Frito Snack Mix.
They are just so easy to whip up, that they are a favorite to bring to any gathering, or just munch on, they are one of our families favorite meals ever.

See how easy this is? I mean come on, and it’s Air Fryer, I know there are a lot of people looking for different things they can use their air fryer for!
CAN I BAKE THIS?
Yes absolutely, I know not everyone has an air fryer or maybe you don’t want to use an air fryer at times so you can absolutely bake this in the oven.
To do this spread mixture on a large baking pan and bake in oven for 5-10 minutes at 530 degrees, then let cool and pour into serving bowl.
We do this often too because she don’t always like to whip out the air fryer and just want to place it in the oven, but both ways are fine.
We do find that the air fryer makes this Chex Mix just a little more crispier so thats one reason why we love using that.
HOW TO STORE:
We like to keep ours in a large lidded bowl, but you can also store in a ziptop bag and it will keep for about 4-6 weeks.
You can also store in the freezer in freezer friendly bags for about 5-6 months, just let it come to room temperature before serving.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- You can make this in the microwave as well, just heat for about 3-4 minutes then let set up on a baking pan. But it does not produce as much crunch.
- You can bake this in the oven, see my tips above for instructions.
- You can swap out some of the ingredients to make it gluten free, spicy by using some cayenne and sweet by adding some M&M’s etc.
- You can easily make double this batch to serve very large crowds.
