Quick and easy and ready in under 20 minutes this Tortellini Alfredo is the perfect dinnertime recipe that you can whip up on the fly. Super tasty and flavorful.
Pasta is one of the most love dishes in this house. We just cannot get enough of it. So we usually make it at least once a week around here.
Some of our favorites that we whip up include Vegetable Lo Mein, Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese and Ground Beef Carbonara.
When we make any pasta dishes that consist of white sauce we always, always, always go to our favorite Alfredo Sauce recipe! It is fool-proof and easy!

- It whips up in under 2o minutes and is perfect for a smaller family.
My kids as for this Tortellini Alfredo more times than not. If you want to give it a meatier option you can always add ravioli in stead of the tortellini as well.
It is one of those recipe that we keep the ingredients on hand all the time because we are busy and it is the perfect meal to whip up when you’re short on time.
HOW TO MAKE TORTELLINI ALFREDO, STEP BY STEP:
- In pan add your butter and melt.
- Once melted add in chopped up cream cheese.
- Whisk your cream cheese into your butter until combined and melted.
- Add in your heavy whipping cream, parmesan, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Whisk until smooth, thickened and cheese has melted.
- Lastly add in your cooked tortellini and stir to coat, garnish with parsley and shredded parmesan if desired.
WHAT GOES WELL WITH THIS DISH?
There are so many different options that you can serve alongside this Tortellini Alfredo Recipe. We usually go with a side salad and some garlic bread.
You can easily make garlic bread at home as well with some French bread, butter and seasonings, one of our favorites.
If you want this as a side dish then a good chicken main dish would go great such as grilled chicken.
If you absolutely adore easy recipes than this one is for you. We have 4 kids and we usually double the batch, but when it is just my husband and I we can easily have this as our meal with a little bit leftover
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- You can use heavy whipping cream or heavy cream (there is a fat difference between the two) or to make your own heavy cream mix together equal portions of half and half and milk.
- You can use any type of parmesan in the sauce recipe, canned, freshly grated or grated in the bag, it is very forgiving.
- The cream cheese won’t entirely melt into the butter and thats ok, once you add the heavy whipping cream and remaining ingredients everything will come together.
- If you want to add a meat aspect to this, grilled chopped chicken would be the perfect addition.
When it comes to easy, you cannot get any easier than this Tortellini Alfredo. Hearty, filling, tasty and absolutely addicting, one of those recipes that won’t go off your rotation.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese cut into 4-6 pieces
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup parmesan shredded or grated
- 1 Tbs garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 19 oz bag cheese tortellini, cooked
Instructions
