Easy, cheesy, and the perfect party food this Pizza Monkey Bread has minimal ingredients and is a perfectly easy appetizer recipe everyone loves.
Pizza is a huge thing around here. I have 3 growing boys and pizza seems to be one of their favorite things in the world, but when I was their age it was mine too.
They absolutely love this Pizza Monkey Bread, and so do we. It is super easy to whip up and even someone who is just starting to cook would be a able to hand this recipe.

WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- With minimal and readily available ingredients, this Monkey Bread recipe is a breeze to whip together.
- It is easily adaptable, add more of your favorite pizza toppings to change the flavor of this bread.
- Made all in one bowl, it is super easy clean up, less dishes equals more time to enjoy.
Look at that cheese pull. Nothing beats a good cheese pull and this Pizza Monkey Bread is full of that. We use a mixture of Mozzarella and Parmesan for the optimal cheesiness!
HOW TO MAKE PIZZA MONKEY BREAD, STEP BY STEP:
- Pre-heat oven to 350. Spray a 10-cup bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray (we use the cooking spray with the flour in it) and set aside.
- Open your biscuits and on cutting board cut each biscuit into quarters.
- In large bowl add your biscuit pieces, oil, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, italian seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder.
- Mix everything until all biscuits are covered with some of the oil, pepperoni, cheeses and seasoning. Using your hands work best, it also helps separate stuck together biscuit pieces.
- Add your mixture into your prepared pan and bake in oven for about 45 minutes.
- Remove from oven when brown and bubbly and let cool in plan slightly until turning out onto serving plate.
So one trick to making this Pizza Monkey Bread Recipe look pretty is serve it baked side up as it appears in the pan.
You can serve it flipped over out of the pan like the traditional monkey bread is served, but let’s just say that it is a little lackluster in appearance wise if you get my drift.
Needless to say this is still of our favorite appetizer and bread recipes. There are so many different ways that you can doctor it up!
HOW TO DOCTOR UP PIZZA MONKEY BREAD:
- Add crumbled sausage and pepperoni for a double meat version.
- Add mushrooms, olives, meats, onions and peppers for a supreme version.
- Cook and shred some chicken and mix in bbq sauce and add that with a mixture of cheddar and mozzarella for a bbq chicken version.
- Add Canadian bacon and either pineapple tidbits or drained crushed pineapple for a Hawaiian version (I know controversial!!!).
There are just so many different ways that you can make this Pizza Monkey Bread how you like it with using your own favorite pizza toppings!
Now I’m an admitted ranch person, but for the sake of real pizza and my family I like to serve this with Pizza sauce or marinara sauce.
TIPS AND TRICKS FOR MAKING PIZZA MONKEY BREAD:
- You can use any kind of jumbo biscuits for this recipe as long as each can is 8-count. We sometimes use a mixture of buttermilk and butter flavored.
- Quartering your pepperoni helps it spread through the mixture better, you can also use mini pepperoni if you can find it in your local grocer.
- You can mix up your cheese’s if you like more of a difference than straight mozzarella.
- We like to grease our bundt pan with cooking spray with flour, it helps the bread come out easier as well as not letting the cheese to stick.
- Serve it cooked side up if you want it to look a little prettier, otherwise just flip out and serve on plate.
If you want a fun and easy appetizer recipe and you are a pizza fan this Pizza Monkey Bread is just what you’re needing, meaty, cheesy and delicious.
