Creamy, crunchy and full of flavor these Pickle Dip Pinwheels are full of cream cheese, sliced ham and diced pickles. The perfect party appetizer.
I’m not sure if it is a midwest thing but Pickle Rollups are huge around here, along with Pickle Dip. Now we love both, but sometimes you just want to switch it up a little bit.
So that is exactly what I did. Pinwheels are one of our favorite party appetizers, we bring them to a lot of gatherings. These Pickle Dip Pinwheels are one of ours, and many of our friends favorite ones.
We also love bringing our Italian Pinwheels along with your Veggie Pizza Pinwheels along as well because they always get good reviews and never have to take any home with us.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU NEED?

Can you say EASY!
This pinwheel recipe is for all you pickle lovers. When I first shared this with some of my friends they went wild over it. I never really new the whole pickle craze until we started making these.
Now I’m not a plain pickle person, and if I do eat pickles along they have to be dipped in ranch dressing. I know it’s weird, but I love it.
Some of my favorite recipes using pickles:
HOW TO MAKE PICKLE DIP PINWHEELS:
- Dice your ham and pickles in smaller pieces and set aside.
- In medium sized bowl beat your cream cheese until smooth.
- Fold in your diced ham and pickles until combined.
- Spread your mixture evenly among tortillas leaving about 1/2″ on the side and roll up tightly.
- Place on plate and wrap in Saran Wrap and refrigerate for about one hour.
- Remove from refrigerator and slice into about 1″ rounds.
Seriously you guys, these pinwheels are to die for. So my dad isn’t the foodie type of person, like he will just say oh yeah this is good and go about his business.
When I first had him try my Pickle Dip Pinwheels he literally went into detail about how its creamy and the pickles aren’t too tart, etc. It was the best thing ever.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- We like to use Gedney pickle spears, my husband is adamant that they are the best tasting pickles.
- Really dry your pickles before you cut and add them to your cream cheese, it prevents it from being too watery and bleeding into your tortillas or mixture.
- Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature, makes it easier to combine.
- We use prepackaged sliced ham for this, but you could also use ham chunks for more texture if you would like.
- The longer you refrigerate the better they will hold up when cutting.
- Cut with a serrated knife, I have found that cutting pinwheels with this type of knife makes it so much easier to slice through.
Who knew that there could be so many tips and tricks to such an easy recipe, but these tips and tricks make this pinwheel recipe just that, easy!
I’m not one of those people that want to make things any harder than they need to be, ya know!
So if you are looking for that next appetizer to bring to a party that everyone will ask for the recipe, these Pickle Dip Pinwheels are exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Iโm very new at this type of thing. Just learned I have diabetes, so looking for easy snacks. Would these be best refrigerated? Like to keep for several days.

We liked it but it needed a little something more like ground pepper, fresh garlic or garlic powder. Thanks for the recipe
