Veggie Pizza Pinwheels

Want the perfect party food that everyone will go nuts for? These Veggie Pizza Pinwheels are full of vegetables and a ranch mixture that makes they irresistible.

Pinwheels

Appetizers are life over in this household. This Pinwheel recipe has been one that we fell in love with years ago when my sister in law made them and brought them to a family gathering.

Now I wasn’t able to get the exact recipe from her because they simple just throw stuff together so we kinda had to recreate it on our own and has since become of our our most popular party recipes.

If you are a big fan of veggie pizza, you know the one that is made with crescent rolls, then you will be a fan of these Veggie Pizza Pinwheels.

Essentially it takes all the ingredients from the traditional veggie pizza recipe and puts them into a roll-up instead. I mean how much better can it get?

My 10 year old absolutely love veggies and ranch (gasp I know a child liking these things) so when we make these, he is the first one to come running!

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU NEED?

  • Tortillas
  • Cream cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Ranch dressing mix
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Carrots
  • Red pepper

For this pinwheel recipe you can easily switch up the different veggies that you use, but these are the kinds that we typically use and have used on the pizza version so we stuck with them for this delicious appetizer.

These make a bunch! I’m going to rough estimate about 48 of these little guys. But we usually discard the ends of the tortillas because they contain the least amount of goodness, or we just eat them before we end up serving them.

We are those type of people who are always looking for fun and creative appetizers that we can serve up, and were super surprised that people loved these as much as we do.

I mean normally when I see appetizers at a party I don’t go for the ones that are of the vegetable variety, although I probably should.

These are just a hit because it’s a new way to get in your vegetables and people sense that they are eating more healthy, which I’m not sure they are but hey, if we think it it has to be true right?

Some other appetizers we serve with these include:

Veggie Pizza

Pinwheels have always been one of those recipes that we have gravitated for. There are so many pinwheel recipes out there either using tortillas or sometimes crescent rolls, all depending on the recipe.

These Veggie Pizza Pinwheels are a fun switch to just having the traditional veggies and dip on your appetizer table for you get togethers.

HOW DO YOU MAKE PINWHEELS?

  • Chop up your vegetables fine and combine in a large bowl and mix together.
  • In another bowl mix together your cream cheese, sour cream and ranch mix until smooth.
  • Spread 1/3 cup of your mixture onto each of your tortillas and then sprinkle with the same amount of veggies.
  • Roll up and wrap in Saran Wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Once chilled cut into 1/2″-1″ slices and serve.

Veggie Pizza Topping

Like I said these roughly make about 48 depending on how large you cut each individual slice, you can make these as large or as small as you like.
