When it comes to appetizers I’m all about them. Since we are nearing the holidays I wanted to get a jump start and share one of my favorites.
This Honey Walnut Baked Brie Recipe is one of our favorites. Simple ingredients really help it come together quick and easy and everyone LOVES it.
This is one appetizer recipe that makes it to our table every single year, multiple times. With the minimal ingredients doesn’t mean that is lacking on flavor.
I always say that some of the recipes that have the least amount of ingredients taste the best. Just because they don’t contain much they really are amazing.
This Baked Brie is exactly one of those recipes! With the honey and walnuts and the gooey cheese, it really makes a delicious and tasty appetizer that you won’t get enough of.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED (FULL RECIPE AT BOTTOM):
Honey
Walnuts
Puff pastry
Brie
Egg
HOW TO MAKE A HONEY WALNUT BAKED BRIE RECIPE, STEP BY STEP:
- Preheat the oven to 400ยฐF. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper, set aside.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the honey and walnuts.
- Place the puff pastry on the parchment-lined sheet tray. Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry.
- Add โ of the honey/walnut mixture on top.
- Fold the corners of the puff pastry over itself to enclose the brie. Pinch the seams together to make sure it is sealed.
- Brush the beaten egg all over generously.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, tenting with foil halfway through so it doesnโt get too brown.
- Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Drizzle the remaining honey/walnut mixture on top or serve it on the side so your guests can serve themselves.
DO I NEED TO TAKE THE RIND OFF?
No you do not and we don’t for this recipe. The rind is edible and will melt into the cheese itself when baked.
If you want to to take it off it is completely optional and you can absolutely do it if you would rather have it off to ensure that melty cheese, but it is not a necessity.
WHAT CAN I SERVE BAKED BRIE WITH?
There are so many different options when it comes to what to use to serve your baked brie recipe, since this is a super simple and flavored one some great options include:
- Crackers
- Fruit slices
- Crostini
- Pretzels
- A spoon
Literally anything that you think would be a great serving vessel would be perfect for this recipe!
HOW TO STORE:
You can store this recipe two ways:
UNBAKED:
Freeze this Baked Brie Recipe unbaked, follow the recipe directions until you get to baking. You can then store it in a airtight container or freezer bag flat in your freezer.
When you are ready to bake, brush with another egg wash and place in the oven straight from the freezer. It may have to bake for a few minutes longer.
BAKED:
Once you have baked your brie and have leftovers, your can place an airtight container or a ziptop bag and place it in the refrigerator, this will last up to 2-4 days.
To reheat place in oven on a baking sheet at the lowest temp setting for about 25 minutes.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Make sure that you drizzle the honey walnut mixture over the brie before wrapping.
- Do not skip the egg wash, this helps get everything nice and browned.
- You do not need to remove the rind, but you can if you like.
- Serve this with many different things, see some suggestions above.
