I love Pigs in a Blanket! They are one of my favorite appetizers ever, and you know me and my appetizers – I could literally just survive off of them.
We decided we wanted to give it a go in our air fryer and they come out just as crispy and tasty and soft as they would if you were to bake them.
Plus they come out quicker! Anything that is ready quicker is up my alley for sure and these Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket are just that! Quick and easy.
We really do love making them this way, we like to use our air fryer whenever we get the chance, my kids use it for allll the things.
So if you do happen to have an air fryer, this Pigs in a Blanket Recipe is the perfect appetizer that you can quickly whip up in it! It’s so easy the kids can make it themselves.
We like to make these for the holidays, football games, New Years, get togethers and more. They are pretty much good anytime.

WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- This recipe uses only 2 ingredients!
- They fry up in about 5 minutes.
- You can easily double the batch for larger gatherings.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED (FULL RECIPE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST):
Refrigerated crescent rolls
Little smokies
HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER PIGS IN A BLANKET, STEP BY STEP:
- Preheat your air fryer to 325 degrees F.
- Unroll the dough and separate each triangle. Using a knife, cut each triangle into 3 long pieces, with one end being the width of the smokie.
- Place the one of the smokies on the wide end and carefully roll up, wrapping and sealing the crescent around each smokie.
- Spray the inside of your air fryer with olive oil spray and place the crescent rolled smokies inside the basket.
- Cook for 5 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown.
- Remove and serve with ketchup and mustard for dipping, if desired.
WHAT LITTLE SMOKIES ARE THE BEST TO USE?
You can use any of your favorite little smokie flavors that you like, beef, pork or even cheddar.
They taste great with whatever meat choice that you choose to make.
CAN I PREPARE THESE PIGS IN A BLANKET AHEAD OF TIME?
While these are super easy to throw together in a moments notice, if you want to prepare them ahead of time you can.
You can prepare these 24 hours ahead of time and then place on a plate and tightly wrap in plastic wrap in the refrigerator.
DO I HAVE TO PREHEAT MY AIR FRYER?
We highly encourage you to preheat the air fryer in advance, just like you would an oven.
This makes sure that it will cook in the allotted amount of time and that everything gets cooked through nice and evenly.
WHAT DIPPINGS SAUCES GO WELL WITH AIR FRYER PIGS IN A BLANKET?
You know you have to love a great dipping sauce, especially for these! Some of our favorites include:
- Ketchup
- Honey Mustard
- Aioli
- Spicy Mustard
- BBQ Sauce
- Cheese Sauce
HOW TO STORE:
These are best eaten the same day, but if you do by chance have leftovers then you can store in an airtight container or bag in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
These can also be frozen, place in a freezer bag and they will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.
To defrost, remove to the refrigerator until thawed. To reheat, place back into your preheated air fryer and fry for a few minutes until heated through and crisp.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Make sure to preheat your air fryer beforehand.
- You will need to do these in batches, you don’t want to over crowd as these will puff up.
- You can bake these if you’d like just bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes.
- Use any dipping sauces you enjoy, see some of my suggestions above.
- Make sure you spray your insert of the air fryer so they do not stick to the bottom.
- Use your favorite flavor of little smokies.
- Add some cheese to these to give them a little different flavor.
- These can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance.
