This Easy Guacamole whips up in under 15 minutes and is a great tasty addition to your snack menu. Flavorful and can be used for multiple purposes.
One thing that everyone knows about me is that I am addicted to Guacamole. Literally, I will eat it with a spoon, that is how much that I love it.
Dips are one of my favorite appetizers around and they are the perfect simple recipe to bring to any gathering or whip up at home when you are having a movie night.
We love this Easy Guacamole because it takes minimal ingredients and time to prepare. We love it as a dip, as a topping on tacos or nachos, you name it.
WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- It is simple and easy to prepare and can all be mixed in one bowl leaving minimal clean up.
- You can adjust the spices to your liking to make it how flavorful or potent as you want.
- It has multi purpose uses which is why we love guacamole so much.
Whenever I go to my favorite Mexican restaurant I always have to order an extra side of guac just to have, I also always keep on hand those mini packages you can find at your local grocer.
Some of my favorite recipes we like to use this Easy Guacamole with include Slow Cooker Street Tacos, Chicken Taquitos and Barbacoa Beef.

See how easy it is to make this Guacamole Recipe? I tell you, it is one of the most made recipes in our house when it comes to appetizers.
Pending that we do have avocados on hand and that they are in the right stage, since avocados like to go from good to bad in literally a blink of an eye.
HOW RIPE SHOULD MY AVOCADOS BE?
This is always the burning question when it comes to working with avocados. Like I just stated they can go from under rip to over ripe in no time.
You will want your avocados to not be super firm when pressed, you want them to have a little give when you press it, like slightly. softened butter.
But if it is really squishy, they are over ripe and you’ll probably want to toss them.
HOW LONG DOES GUACAMOLE LAST?
This easy guacamole will last in the refrigerator 1-2 days. You will need to wrap it tightly with plastic wrap, pressing the wrap against the guacamole itself.
Once you see that it has started to turn brown or any liquid is building up on top of your guacamole it is time to get rid of it.
Usually this doesn’t last long, when served. It’s one of those recipes a lot of people gravitate to. But I have also found that you either love it or hate it.
If you are like my husband who hates cilantro, he will never touch guacamole and always gives me crap because I love it so much.
Did you know that there is apparently a gene that determines if you will like cilantro? If you have the gene you apparently think that it tastes like soap?
Who knew, but apparently my husband and pretty much his whole family – mother and sisters all are the same way. I for one am happy that I did not inherit this supposed gene.
CAN YOU FREEZE THIS?
Yes you can, since we aren’t using tomatoes in this recipe it is perfect for the freezer.
If you are making a larger batch, or want to make a larger batch so you can freeze some for later just mix up like usual and place into a gallon sized ziptop bag and flatten out.
This will keep in the freezer for about 2-3 months. To thaw it out for use let defrost in the refrigerator overnight.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- You want your avocados to just be slightly ripe, enough to just be able to press in on the skin a little bit and not too firm otherwise they won’t mash properly.
- You can mash these to your desired thickness, if you like chunkier then don’t mash it so much.
- We usually use a pastry blender to mash our avocados but a pestal and mortar is something that is commonly used.
- You can use this easy guacamole in many different ways, toppings to things, in tacos, as a dip for taquitos etc.
If you want a tasty and easy appetizer that whips up in no time then you need to try my Easy Guacamole! Flavorful and fun.
