WHAT IS MOSCOW MULE?
If you’ve never heard of a Moscow Mule before, you’re in luck because you are about to get educated. A Moscow Mule is typically a 3 ingredient drink.
The ingredients consist of vodka (Tito’s is recommended most times), lime juice and ginger beer. Ice is added and everything is stirred together with some garnishments ad you have yourself an easy peasy drink recipe.
Now you can really flavor mules to your liking and change up the flavors depending on your mood such as this Cranberry version where we add cranberry juice in addition to the vodka, ginger beer and lime juice.
WHY USE COPER MUGS?
When you usually see a Moscow Mule recipe you always see them served in copper mugs. The reason for this is that copper is a good inductor that helps spread the cooling and heating effect all over.
While there really is no proof that they do keep things any warmer or cooler than any normal glass, they are just pretty to use and are usually the standard when they come to this type of drink, but if you don’t have them, no fear and no need to go out and buy some either.
If you do go buy some, these are the set we have which comes with a jigger and some copper straws as well that helps make you the complete drink.
