When it comes to the holiday season you can never go wrong with a good drink recipe! One thing during those cold winter nights that we love to do is curl up under the blankets with a nice hot drink of cider, hot chocolate or even this Mulled Wine recipe.
So we love our slow cooker, probably more than the average Joe. We use it year round because we get to be so busy that when you are able to just throw something together and forget about it the it turns into one of absolute favorite recipes ever.
A lot of people overlook the uses of their slow cooker and thing that just savory meals are made in them, well think again my friends. The slow cooker is perfect for sweets AND DRINKS!!
This mulled wine recipe is perfect, comforting, easy and has just enough spice that there hasn’t been anyone that I’ve served it to that hasn’t been asking for a second mug full!

You guys have to believe me when I say that this is one of the easiest recipes one the planet. You can also easily make this non-alcoholic for those non drinkers in your life by using alcohol removed wine. They come in a variety such as white Zinfandel, pinot, red, moscato, etc.
The apple cider in this mulled wine recipe really sets off the sweetness with just a touch of honey that doesn’t overpower this recipe at all.
It literally is such a warm and comforting slow cooker drink recipe that you won’t want to pass up.
Some other fun slow cooker drink recipes for the cold weather I love are:

- Slow Cooker Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Does’t this just make you want to curl up on the couch and keep warm with a hot glass of something right now? I vote for this Mulled Wine, I mean how could you not love this.
The mulled wine spices are really subtle, but you can taste each and every one of then just enough with each and every sip of this recipe.
As much as I hate licorice, the anise really doesn’t give that potent of licorice flavor at all and it really blends in well with the cinnamon and cloves that they have their own little spice gang going on that work well together.
