- Preheat the oven to 225 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
- Place the sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a medium-sized bowl.
- Whisk together to combine, set aside.
- In a large bowl add the egg white, water, and vanilla.
- Whisk together until light and foamy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the pecans to the bowl. Stir until they are coated in the egg white.
- Add the sugar mixture and stir until everything is coated.
- Pour out the pecans onto the baking sheet in an even layer.
- Bake for 60 minutes, stirring the pecans every 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet and enjoy.

DO I HAVE TO USE THE PARCHMENT PAPER?
I highly suggest using the parchment paper on the baking sheet as you have a mixture that likes to stick.
Using the parchment paper will keep the nuts from sticking and make it easier to stir.
CAN I ADD OTHER SPICES TO THIS?
While we like to add just cinnamon, you can add some other things if you’d like. For a little kick you can add a little cayenne pepper.
You can also add a little bit of ginger if you want a more robust flavor as well.
CAN I USE THIS IN OTHER RECIPES?
Absolutely, there are so many ways that you can use Candied Pecans. Some of our favorites include:
- Salads
- Ice Cream Topping
- Parfaits
- Cookies
- Bars
- Sticky Buns
These are just some of our favorites, but if you find another way to use them, let me know!
WHAT KIND OF PECANS SHOULD I USE?
You will want to make sure that you use pecan halves for this recipe.
At the store you will see that you can also find chopped, they are smaller and could work but we prefer the halves for this recipe.

HOW TO STORE:
These can be stored in an airtight container where they will keep at room temperature for 2-3 days or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
You can also freeze this recipe, place in a freezer bag and they will keep frozen for up to 2 months.
To defrost, remove to the countertop until thawed.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- These can be frozen, see above on how to do that.
- Add some ginger or even cayenne pepper for a different flavor.
- Easily double this recipe.
- These are great to bag up and give as gifts.
- Parchment paper is highly recommended so the nuts do not stick to the pan.
