While I imagine this could work, if you just toss all the ingredients in, you risk burning your milk and the white chocolate because your heat can get too high easily.
This is why I suggest to lower the heat before you add in the milk and chocolate ingredients so you don’t burn anything.
Well, isn’t that the sole star of the show in this hot chocolate recipe? I don’t recommend swapping it out for other things as the flavor and color of the drink will change.
I don’t recommend making this drink ahead of time because the chocolate will settle to the bottom of the mug as the drink cools.
This drink is best when served immediately after you make it.
If you do try to make it beforehand, I suggest adding it all back to a saucepan and reheating it on low heat before serving again.
So we know some people are marshmallow people and some are whipped cream people. So use what you like.
We used marshmallows and did a chocolate drizzle in this recipe, you can also do the chocolate drizzle with whipped cream as well.
This drink is best to enjoy right when you make it. I don’t suggest trying to store it for later.
