Creamy, fluffy and with a sweet and tart puree – this Strawberry Mousse is an easy dessert that comes together effortlessly.
I’m a huge strawberry fan, it is one of my favorite fruits to bake into desserts or in this case a no-bake dessert.
Mousse is one of those recipes that I can never get enough of, no matter the flavor – and they do come in so many flavors.
This Strawberry Mousse is one of my favorites as it has a nice strawberry puree with jam sitting on the bottom of the mousse which amps up the flavor so much.
Top it off with a dollop or two of whipped cream and some strawberry slices and you have yourself a dessert that you will want over and over again.
One thing that I really love about this recipe, is that it is super light. Sometimes you just want something that isn’t heavy and this is just what you need.
If you’ve been looking for a tasty and easy dessert that switches it up a little bit, you cannot miss out on this Strawberry Mousse.

WHAT SIZE SERVING JARS/GLASSES/CONTAINERS SHOULD I USE?
For 4 servings, we used 8-ounce servers for this recipe. We found this to be the perfect amount for a single dessert and a nice balance of flavor.
You can double it and serve less using 4-ounce servers and make 8 servings instead of 4.
CAN I USE JELLY INSTEAD OF JAM?
You can use jelly instead of jam for this recipe. We like jam best as it uses the whole fruit that has been smashed.
Jelly uses fruit juice and the fruit parts are strained out. Where jam can have fruit pieces still in it and seeds, but we prefer to use seedless.
Also we feel that jam has a more potent flavor than jelly, and that is why we really like it as it give this Strawberry Mousse our favorite flavor.
HOW LONG DOES THIS NEED TO CHILL?
While we always love to eat our desserts as soon as we can, this Mousse needs to chill to reach the optimal texture.
This needs to chill for 2-4 hours in the refrigerator, you are looking for a consistency of a dense fluffy foam.
DO I HAVE TO PUT THE STRAWBERRY PUREE AT THE BOTTOM?
No, we absolutely love doing this as it really brings out more flavor. You can also choose to add it to the top of the mousse also.
If you do not want to use the strawberry puree in the bottom or on the top, you will have some leftover.
You will need to make the puree to put in the mousse mixture, but you can save any leftovers for other things or to serve over other desserts.
HOW TO STORE:
This can be stored in the refrigerator in their separate containers covered with plastic wrap.
They will keep for up to 3 days, but are best eaten when they are first made for the texture and optimal flavor.
We do not recommend freezing this recipe.
