Summertime is almost here and I couldn’t be more happy. We love grilling season around this house and literally through parties, well more or less get togethers rather than parties almost every weekend at our house. Our house is the place to come for food and fun.
When I say that our place is the place to go for food, we always have stocks of 7UP® and Johnsonville Original Brats on hand at our house which we always pick up at our local Walmart because they have never let us down. Johnsonville is our go-to brand because the flavor and quality are amazing and they go a long way especially since we have so many get togethers, Johnsonville has just been our go-to for years and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We LOVE cooking and baking with 7UP, it’s super versatile and easy to replace in recipes with its 100% natural iconic lemon-lime flavor.
7UP is made with highest quality ingredients that produce a fresh, crisp and clean flavor each and every time. So it is a no brainer that we use it in our recipes, especially these Strawberry Dumplings! Fruity, tangy, easy and absolutely delicious these are a family favorite in this house.
We are the grilling type in our house and these Strawberry Dumplings finish out the perfect grilling meal. Johnsonville is made with premium pork from US and Canadian based farms from a trusted family owned company. Also, its gluten free so it’s the perfect product for everyone!
HOW DO YOU MAKE A DUMPLING?
So there are tons of different versions of dumplings out there. There are the old fashioned ones that are in chicken and dumplings, there are ethnic ones that are served and made at the traditional Chinese restaurants full of meat, spices and veggies and then there are these sweet dumplings.
These Strawberry Dumplings are a hack and use crescent roll dough. You can also use biscuits, biscuit mix or homemade. For the purpose of these dumplings we used canned. To make these you just need to dice up some strawberries and roll them up in the crescent rolls. Simple as that.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF EATING STRAWBERRIES?
There are so many benefits to eating strawberries, one of them is that they are a good source of vitamin C and K as well as being a good source of fiber, folic acid, magnesium and potassium. Now you might think that all those benefits go to waste when eaten in a dessert, but still just keep those in mind and let yourself indulge because how can you not with these?
HOW MANY TYPES OF STRAWBERRIES ARE THERE?
The types of strawberries out there are June bearing, everbearing and day neutral, which means that they each have their own time frame a duration of fruition. These Strawberry Dumplings aren’t particular on which type of strawberries you use, so these are able to be made any time of the year.
