If you are a breakfast or brunch person then you’ll want this easy cheesy Sausage Quiche on your menu. Minimal ingredients create this delicious flavorful dish.
I’ve never really been the breakfast type of person. Regardless of knowing that it is supposed to be the most important meal of the day I usually just live of of coffee and little sleep.
I’m not saying that I don’t love breakfast foods, because I 100% do! But I prefer them at a later time of day, say lunch, brunch or dinner. I mean how can you not love breakfast food.
My personal preferences aside, this Sausage Quiche recipe is one of my favorites ever. I grew up with my mom making quiche a lot and she still does to this day.
The difference between her quiche and the ones I make are the ingredients in them. My mom was never a lover of anything that contained vegetables or anything of the like.
I’m a lover of onions, peppers, mushrooms and any of those goodies that my mom never liked so I always liked to sneak them into my recipes of course and this Sausage Quiche has a little bit of that goodness inside.

Quiche recipes are super simple recipes to whip up and they feed a crowd. They are one of our go-to breakfast meals because they are good served warm or cold.
There are different things you can add to this quiche recipe that can make it to your liking such as some of the things I listed above like peppers or mushrooms but we stuck with onions for this recipe.
Some of my other favorite “breakfast” egg recipes I love include:
When it comes to breakfast foods we love things that are easy to whip up. Even better if you can whip it up the night before.
This easy quiche is a simple recipe that the whole family loves, our kids beg for this because they love pie and this really reminds them of one of their favorite desserts but savory.
When I can find things that are easy and my kids love then they are ones that we make on the regular. This Sausage Quiche is one that we whip up at least 1-2 times a month.
HOW DO YOU MAKE SAUSAGE QUICHE?
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In saute pan brown your sausage and onions together until sausage is cooked and onions are translucent, drain and set aside.
- In bowl whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Take a room temp 9″ pie crust and place into a deep dish pie plate (helpful tip that we like is to gently roll out your pie crust lightly to make it a little bigger and “deep dish” size”) and crimp edges.
- Pour your sausage mixture into bottom of pie crust and spread out.
- Sprinkle with 1 cup of your cheese and then pour your egg mixture on top.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake in oven for about 50 minutes or until set, halfway through cooking cover your pie crust edges with tinfoil or crust protectors to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven and let set 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle with green onions if desired.
How easy is this recipe? I mean yes, it takes a little bit to cook up but nothing too horrible where people will not want to wait around to devour this. We usually have nothing left when we make this quiche.
This recipe is good for any time of day, breakfast, brunch or brinner as we call it. My kids love when I make breakfast for dinner since they are big breakfast food fans as well.

Wonderful recipe! I did add a red pepper for color, but followed all other directions. The cooking time was exact even for my altitude of 5,600 feet. This recipe is a keeper.

Love this recipe! Itโs my go to. I want to make it for our staff meeting in the morning. If I make it the night before, how should I reheat it before I head out in the morning?
Tornadough Alli
Iโve personally never reheated the whole thing itself. We usually reheat each slice in the microwave before serving.

Made this gluten free! Used the ready made frozen gluten free pie shell at room temp (which is a little smaller than normal 9″) so…I used 1 cup of egg beaters I had frozen for the pandemic and needed to use up (LOL) 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream, added 1/4 cup of sautรฉed red onion and some publix bacon pieces. Used 1lb Kroger brand Hot sausage. I had a hodge podge of cojita, sharp, and triple shredded cheeses. The boys loved it and this will be my new Christmas morning breakfast casserole/quiche! Thanks so much!
