I can honestly say that I have never found a chicken recipe that I love more than this Lemon Pepper Chicken. It has the perfect hints of pepper, garlic and lemon.
The best part of it is that you don’t have to wait hours for it to marinade before you can grill it, you can for optimal flavor but you really don’t have to.
WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- With minimal ingredients, it comes together quickly.
- You do not have to marinate it long.
- You can make more than the recipe calls for for when you have those cookouts!
HOW TO MAKE LEMON PEPPER CHICKEN:
- In small bowl, whisk together fresh squeezed lemon juice, minced garlic, pepper and olive oil.
- Add your chicken to a large ziptop bag and pour your marinade over the top and seal, pushing out as much air as you can and press around to coat chicken.
- Place in refrigerator turning every so often to redistribute the marinade. This will be ready too go within 30 minutes, but we usually let it marinade for 1 hour to 1 hour and 3o minutes.
- Remove from refrigerator and grill on preheated grill until juices run clear and you reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
CAN I BAKE THESE?
Yes, you can absolutely bake this Lemon Pepper Chicken if you don’t have access to a grill. Place them in a large baking dish after you have marinated them.
Then bake in oven for about 30-35 minutes at 400 degrees F or until your internal temperature is 165 degrees F.

TIPS AND TRICKS:
- We use 4 normal sized chicken breasts, you can use thin cut or even chicken tenders for this recipe, just cut back on the cooking time.
- You can marinate this anywhere from 30 minutes to overnight, it really doesn’t matter, we normally marinate for a hour and thirty minutes.

This is a great marinade. I have used this recipe a few times since discovering it in December. I usually bake the chicken, but will definitely try grilling once the weather warms up.
