Cobbler is one of those old-fashioned recipe that takes some of your favorite fruits and turns them into a delicious dessert that everyone wants a bite of. Especially me!
WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- Everything is combined in one bowl, which makes it a super simple recipe in itself, less prep and less cleanup!
- Studded with strawberries, there is no special equipment or tactics needed for the addition of fruit to this recipe.
- Sprinkling of sugar over the top adds a nice crisp and flavorful sugar crust that makes this cobbler recipe what it is.
We are cobbler fans around here, one of our favorites is our Blackberry Cobbler that we have been whipping up for years.
This Easy Strawberry Cobbler is that exact recipe, but with strawberries. We believe that when you find a recipe that you love, you stick with it and that is exactly what we did with this one.
HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY COBBLER, STEP BY STEP:
We use self-rising flour in this recipe so make sure you are using that and not all-purpose. In bowl add your flour and sugar and whisk together until combined (Photos 1 &2).
Add in your milk and whisk until it just combined, do not fully whisk it in at this point, it is okay if there are still some lumps in it (Photos 3 & 4).
Next add in your melted butter and vanilla then whisk to combine everything well and smooth, then pour into prepared pan. (Photos 5-7).
Lastly sprinkle with strawberries evenly over the top of your cobbler, then sprinkle remaining sugar over the top of that and bake in oven (Photos 8 & 9).
Like I’ve stated before, this Strawberry Cobbler recipe is super simple to make, you can pretty much substitute any kind of fruit that you like, but strawberry and blackberry are our favorites ever.
This makes the perfect breakfast or dessert. Cobbler is one of those recipes that you can eat for both meals if you so choose.
TIPS FOR MAKING STRAWBERRY COBBLER:
- Generally we use a 11″x8″ baking dish for this recipe, but you can also use an 8″x8″ or a 9″x9″ as well.
