If you want the easiest and tastiest Fall recipe with tons of flavor and minimal ingredients you need to make this Crock Pot Easy Apple Crumble.
Apples are something that we always have an overabundance in, thanks to my parents having multiple apple trees. I will not complain though because I love apple desserts.
I also love apples just plain and so do my kids so they are one thing that we keep stocked all the time. A variety we like there is no specific one either, we aren’t that picky.
Some of my favorite apple recipes that we have on the site include Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings, Homemade Applesauce and Apple Oatmeal Bars.
Apple Crumble is one fo those desserts that you can have at night or it can be a good breakfast in the morning because it doesn’t have anything off the wall sweet in it.
This is absolutely also customizable to your liking as well. We like to add craisins and almonds to ours, whereas if you’re not a fan of those you can leave them put.
WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- With minimal ingredients, this recipe comes together really quickly.

WHAT KIND OF APPLES SHOULD I USE?
Essentially you can use any apple that you want to, but there are specific types of ones that are better for eating and then baking or cooking with.
For this Easy Apple Crumble I recommend that you use Jonagold, Honeycrisp, Braeburn or Pink Lady. They are the best ones that we believe are good for baking.
But like I said you can use whatever type of apple you want or have on hand, it will still be good no matter what, just historically some apples are better for certain things.
I can’t off my hand remember the different types of apple trees that my parents have but they produce amazing baked goods, let me tell you.
Our neighbor has a grove of apples and a large garden and he always in the fall brings bags of produce over and set’s it on our porch, I just got a huge bag of some apples that I need to use up!
My kids lick their bowls when they eat this, and this is even having some teenagers! They absolutely love it! It really does produce a really delicious and tasty flavor.
HOW TO STORE:
While this can be left on the counter for a little while do not store it there for later consuming. This will need to be refrigerated.
Place your leftover Easy Apple Crumble in a airtight container or ziptop bag and place in the refrigerator, it should last up to 3 days.
We really don’t ever have to store this as it’s gone in hours, and that is pushing it. I’ve never had kids so eager to eat anything with apples besides this Crockpot Easy Apple Crumble.
They even like the craisins and almonds in it, which I do too because it gives it a really great flavor, I’m just a fan of both of them so we always add them.
This is one of our favorite fall recipes to whip up, not only because it’s easy, but it’s made in the crockpot! I’m always down for crockpot desserts.
You just got to set it and forget and you are good, that is the best thing about crockpots, and thats why we LOVE using them!
Just look at that scoop right there, I know they a picture says a thousand words, but sometimes I wish you could just taste it through the screen!
Wouldn’t that be helpful, testing things like this before you make them so you know that you love them, I know it would make my life a whole lot easier.
But you really get a good amount of all the flavors in each and every bite when it comes to this Apple Crumble. You can’t go wrong with this simple dessert/breakfast recipe at all.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- You can use any apples that you like, but my recommendations for this recipe are notated above.
- The craisins and the almonds are optional but highly encouraged as it really gives it a nice sweet flavors.
- You can eat this for breakfast of dessert as it is not over the top sweet.
- We cook on high for 2 hours but you could cook on low for 3-4 instead.
