WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- This recipe only takes 5 minutes from start to finish.
- Perfect way to use up leftover chicken from previous meals.
- Super easy to double depending on how many people you are feeding.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED (FULL RECIPE AT BOTTOM):
Romaine lettuce
Grape tomatoes
Parmesan cheese
Caesar salad dressing
Crushed croutons
Burrito size flour tortillas
Cooked chicken
HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN CAESAR WRAPS, STEP BY STEP:
- In a large bowl, toss together the lettuce, tomatoes, parmesan, Caesar dressing, and croutons until mixed and coated in the dressing.
- Place a tortilla on a clean work surface. Add 1/4th of the lettuce mixture to the center of the tortilla.
- Add 1/4th of the chicken on top of the lettuce.
- Fold the two side flaps of the tortilla over the filling. Bring the bottom flap of the tortilla up over the filling and tightly wrap it to seal.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Cut the wraps in half and serve with your favorite sides and extra dressing for dipping, optional.
DO I HAVE TO USE THE CROUTONS?
We like using the croutons as they really make these wraps feel like the salad version and add a nice crunch.
We crush them slightly, but you can also use them whole.
If you do not want to use them you can leave them out completely.
WHAT CHICKEN IS BEST TO USE?
You can use any kind of chicken that you like, rotisserie, leftovers, premade sliced chicken.
You can dice it, slice it or shred it to how you like.
Just use what you have on hand and what is easiest for you.
WHAT SIDES GO WITH CHICKEN WRAPS?
You can have whatever sides you really want with your chicken wraps, but here are some of my favorites to serve with them:
- Garlic Bread
- Potato Salad
- Southern Style Green Beans
- Smashed Potatoes
- Baked French Fries
- Macaroni Salad
CAN I ADD ANY ADDITIONS?
Absolutely, if you have other ingredients you like adding to your regular Chicken Caesar Salad you can add them to these wraps too.
Try some avocado slices, bacon bits, turkey bacon crumbles, hard boiled eggs, or other shredded cheeses. Whatever you think would taste great in this recipe I’m all for it.
HOW TO STORE:
These are best eaten the same day – you can still store them but the lettuce can wilt and the tortillas can get soggy.
These can be stored wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and placed in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 days.
We do not recommend freezing these.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Use warm tortillas as they’re more pliable and easier to work with.
- Use rotisserie chicken or leftover chicken from a different meal.
- If you want crushed croutons, add a handful of your favorite croutons to a small zippered plastic bag, gently crush with a rolling pin. You can also leave the croutons whole or leave them out, whatever you prefer!
- If you want to shred your chicken, use a hand mixer or stand mixer, super quick and easy!
- These can be doubled to serve more people.
- Add any additions that you’d like, see some of my examples above.
- We do not recommend freezing these.
