Garlic Bread is one of those recipes you can’t help but love! I know that I am obsessed with any and all different types of Garlic Bread but this Easy Garlic Bread Recipe is our go-to.
I feel like any meal can pretty much be completed with a side of bread of any kind. We usually add some bread to each of our meals and this Garlic Bread Recipe is one we usually turn to.
Instead of buying frozen, it is so easy to make at home and you can get the flavors just like you want them. The flavors in this Garlic Bread Recipe are exactly how we like them.
So 1 – its easy and 2 – its tasty, this is literally the best combination that there can be! But if you know me yet you know that I love easy and tasty.
This recipe serves a crowd too, but usually there are no leftovers because we love it so much the whole loaf usually gets eaten in one sitting, but we also have a larger family.

Crusty bread
Unsalted butter
Garlic
Parsley
Salt
Pepper
HOW TO MAKE THIS EASY GARLIC BREAD RECIPE, STEP BY STEP:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Slice the bread lengthwise in half and place it cut side up on a sheet tray, set aside.
- Add the butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper to a bowl. Mash it up with a fork until combined.
- Spread this mixture evenly over the cut portion of the bread.
- Bake for 8 minutes. Turn the broiler on and broil for 2-4 minutes or until your desired toastiness.
- Let cool to the touch and slice before serving.

WHAT IS THE BEST BREAD TO USE FOR GARLIC BREAD?
You can use your favorite crusty bread or a french bread loaf. We like to use French Bread as it is easily available and cheap at the grocery store.
You can also use a loaf of Italian bread or Ciabatta bread as well, they are more wide than long but the recipe will still work with those as well!
CAN I ADD CHEESE TO THIS?
The best thing about this Garlic Bread Recipe is that it is a great base to work off of, if you want to add cheese on the top go for it! We love to do it.
We actually like to mix our cheese in our butter mixture, but you can also just sprinkle it on top after you add your butter layer.
Some of our favorite cheese to use is mozzarella and parmesan mixed together, but you can use whatever cheese that you’d like!
CAN I USE DRIED PARSLEY?
Yes! If you don’t normally keep fresh herbs on hand you can use dried. You will want to substitute 1 teaspoon of dried herbs for every tablespoon of fresh in the recipe.
HOW TO STORE:
This Garlic Bread Recipe can be stored at room temperature in a ziptop bag for up to 3 days. It is best to store at room temperature because the refrigerator can dry it out.
You can reheat this in the oven wrapped in foil at 350 for about 10 minutes or in the microwave in 15 second increments until heated through.
This can be frozen, but freeze it after it has been cooked and cooled to room temp first. Place in a freezer bag where it will keep fo up to 3 months. Defrost on countertop before serving.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- If you want a less garlic flavor you can cut back to 3 cloves or 1 1/2 teaspoons.
- Fresh garlic is best and mincing by hand but you can use jarred minced garlic.
- Use your favorite bread for this, we like French bread see above for other options.

- In place of parsley you can use fresh oregano, fresh basil, or fresh chives.
- You can substitute 2 teaspoons dried parsley for the fresh.
