CAN I USE ANOTHER CHEESE?
Absolutely, we use cheddar as we feel that is is a nice cheese that goes with so many things.
Other cheese that can be use includes: Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, Provolone, Gouda, Pepper Jack, etc.
You can also use sliced cheese instead of shredded for this. To get the optimal melting, use freshly shredded cheese.
WILL ROTISSERIE CHICKEN WORK?
Yes! If you want to grab a chicken from the hot section of your grocer, rotisserie will work wonderfully.
If you have a kitchen scale, it will be best to measure the chicken out after you shred it off the bone to get your pound.
This will also make the sliders a little thicker and add a little more juiciness to them.
CAN I USE BACON BITS?
If you do not want to use regular bacon, you can use bacon bits but make sure that you are using the real bacon bits.
You can use as much or as little as you’d like, but when it comes to bacon we always think more the better.
DO I HAVE TO USE HAWAIIAN ROLLS?
If you are not a fan of the sweetness of the Hawaiian rolls, you can use any of your favorite slider buns for these.
We love the sweetness from the rolls when we make sliders, but they are absolutely easy to substitute out.
HOW TO STORE:
These can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator where they will keep for up to 4-5 days.
To reheat, cover with foil and place in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F until heated through.
We do not recommend freezing this recipe.
