Easy, flavorful and a classic recipe this Slow Cooker Creamed Corn is a family favorite that is only 7 ingredients and is perfect for any time of year.
So corn is one of those recipes that is always good any time of year. We really like to serve it at holiday gatherings because I grew up eating creamed corn and it has always just been one of my favorite ways of eating it.
Now I am completely not opposed to canned creamed corn one bit. Honestly, before I learned to make it homemade it was one of my favorite things to have as a side dish.
But in my book homemade is always better and with this creamed corn recipe you really cannot go wrong. It is completely easy and you pretty much just fix it and forget it!
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU NEED?
- Corn
- Milk
- Sugar
- Salt & pepper
- Cream cheese
- Butter
How can you go wrong with an ingredients list like that? You really cant.
This is one of those recipes even my kiddos love. My kids have always generally been huge corn fans so this recipe was no exception at all.
Some of our other favorite corn recipes include:
Now I have to admit, I’ve never been the type of person to like corn on the cob. Usually I refuse to eat it. Now I don know what really stemmed that but its the truth.
I do however like the Mexican Street Corn and that is pretty much the only way that I will eat it off the cob completely. I much prefer a nice and cream cream corn recipe instead.
HOW TO MAKE CREAM CORN:
- In slow cooker add all your ingredients and cover and cook on high 2-3 hours.
- Remove lid and stir until all ingredients are combined.
- Return cover and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
- Turn heat to warm and let thicken up slightly before serving.
You guys!! This recipe is just too simple. Now I like myself more of a sweet corn flavor, but if you don’t like that much sugar in your recipe you can absolutely just cut back by half and it will mellow out that sweetness slightly.
There is also so much additions you can add to this slow cooker creamed corn! Like jalapeรฑos? Add some diced jalapeรฑos before cooking, want a little cheese? Stir in some cheddar once its done cooking.
The sky is the limit on this base for slow cooker creamed corn and it can be spiced up or mellowed out to your liking. I like provide sometimes basic recipes that people can build off of and this one is absolutely it!

Can you use frozen or fresh corn?

Can you add jalapeรฑos or green chilis to spice it up?
Tornadough Alli
I don’t see why that would be an issue, just take sure you’d rain any liquid from the green chiles ๐
