With only 3 ingredients and a fresh fruity flavor, this Malibu Bay Breeze will be your new favorite cocktail recipe.
Summer is quickly approaching, and I love a good drink on a hot day. Especially if it is a fruity drink.
This Malibu Bay Breeze is just that, it consists of coconut rum, cranberry juice and pineapple juice.
That trifecta really makes the perfect flavor combination, top it off with cherries, limes and pineapple and you have yourself a gorgeous drink.
I really love cocktails that are easy to make and with only 3 ingredients, this is almost as simple as they come.
You absolutely cannot go wrong with this Malibu Bay Breeze and it will become your new spring and summer drink.
Some of my other favorite cocktails that we have on our site include: Peach Bellini, Dirty Shirley and Strawberry Mojito.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO SERVE A MALIBU BAY BREEZE?
This can be served two different ways, shaken or layered and that is completely up to you.
Shaken: Add all ingredients to shaker. Pour over ice. Garnish.
Layered: To properly layer this drink, the juices should be added in order of sugar content. The higher the sugar content, the โheavierโ the juice.
The sugar content will vary greatly by brand, so check each brand before adding.
You can also swap the way the drink is made and do the pineapple juice first and cranberry second.
CAN I USE ANOTHER COCONUT RUM?
Yes, if you do not want to by Malibu, you can buy other coconut rums. Some other brands that will work include:
- Calico Jack
- Calypso
- Parrot Bay
- Don Q
- Cruzan
- Bacardi
You can use any coconut rum brand that you like and at any price point that you want.
WHY ARE MY JUICES MIXING?
This depends on the sugar content of the juices being used, but also how you are pouring it.
Inevitably it will most likely mix at some point, but you can slowly pour your last juice over the back of a spoon so it layers on top.
CAN I MAKE THIS IN A PITCHER?
Yes, you can. You obviously will need more of each ingredient depending on the size of your pitcher.
You can start with 1 cup of each and go from there. Pour each in a pitcher, you cannot worry about the layering when making it this way.
Cover your pitcher and let it chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve, then pour over glasses of ice and garnish.
HOW TO STORE:
We do not recommend storing this cocktail recipe as it is best enjoyed when it is first made.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- You can use other coconut rum brands other than Malibu, see some suggestions above.
- If you want a stronger/larger drink double the amount of each ingredient.
- This can be made in a pitcher, see above on how to do that.
- Layering can be hard but look at the sugar content or use a spoon to carefully pour the juice into the glass, see above for how to serve and layering.
- We do not recommend storing this.
- You can easily double or triple this recipe to serve more people without using a pitcher.
