CAN I USE A HOMEMADE SAUCE?
Yes absolutely! If you would prefer to make your own homemade meat sauce you can do that. We sometimes use our Homemade Spaghetti Sauce for this recipe.
Also if you are not a huge fan of marinara sauce you can also use your favorite brand and flavor of spaghetti sauce too.
CAN THESE BE MADE A DIFFERENT FLAVOR?
I also love making these with chicken and alfredo sauce. You can pretty much do the same process but we like to add the chicken to the center of the lasagna rolls, so mix it in with your filling.
You can use any shredded chicken that you like, rotisserie is nice as it provides a shortcut. But boiled, baked and even pan fried will work as well.
You can use any of your favorite alfredo sauce recipes, jarred sauce or you can make my Homemade Alfredo Sauce as well.
WHAT IS THE BEST MEAT TO USE FOR THIS RECIPE?
We like to use a lean ground beef as it produces less grease, but you can use italian sausage, ground pork, ground chicken or ground turkey.
IS THE SAUCE THICK?
Yes, this is a thicker meatier sauce. If you want to make a thinner sauce you can absolutely do that by only using 1 pound of ground beef.
HOW TO STORE:
These Lasagna Rolls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator where they will last for up to 3-4 days.
You can also freeze these, to do that let cool completely. You can place in a single layer in a freezer container where they will keep frozen for up to 3 months.
To defrost, remove to refrigerator overnight or until thawed. You can reheat back in the oven covered at 350 degrees F or in the microwave until heated through.

- You can double or half this recipe depending on how many people you are serving.
