Spring has FINALLY sprung here in Minnesota. We had one of the worst blizzards last weekend but this past weekend it was in the 60’s and sunny. I mean finally Mother Nature has got her britches in right.
Maybe it’s only me but you truly know it’s Spring when you can hear the birds chirping right away in the morning. Maybe it’s different for us because we don’t get that all year round but it literally brings a smile to my face each and every morning.
Want to know what else brings a smile to my face? This Italian Pasta Salad, that’s what! This pasta salad recipe has loooooong been a favorite dish in our house. My mom used to make it for me growing up then she introduced it to my husband and it’s been his absolute favorite salad ever since.
Now there is nothing special about this Italian Pasta Salad recipe. It’s such a basic recipe that it’s hard to mess up. Making it the perfect recipe to bring along to any spring or summer gathering that you have planned this year.
There are so many different variations of the Italian Pasta Salad that I couldn’t even begin to tell you what that “actual” first recipe ever consisted of. But I’m sure going to tell you how we make our version.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU NEED?
- Tri-Colored rotini pasta
- Black olives
- Cherry or grape tomatoes
- Parmesan cheese
- Italian dressing

HOW DO YOU MAKE ITALIAN PASTA SALAD?
In large bowl toss together pasta, pepperoni, tomatoes, black olives and parmesan cheese.
Pour your dressing over top and toss to coat.
Chill for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Pour remainder of dressing over top if needed.
