I always find it essential to have a good sauce recipe in your recipe box, you never know when you might need it!
One of my favorite sauces is this Homemade Tartar Sauce, we make it alllll the time – especially to serve with any of our seafood recipes.
This makes a nice big batch about 1 1/2 cups, so you have enough for any of your needs, especially if you are serving a crowd.
This Tartar Sauce also comes together in no time, just mixing will take you about 10 minutes and then you let the flavors marry for about 30 and its good to go!
This goes great with other things other than fish, we have used it with chicken nuggets, spreads on sandwiches or wraps, etc.

CAN I USE MIRACLE WHIP?
If you are a miracle whip person you can absolutely use that, we are full fat mayonnaise people.
Just know that if you do use miracle whip that the flavor will come out slightly different.
WHY DO I NEED TO LET THIS CHILL FOR 30 MINUTES?
For one, you will want to get this colder. Also chilling lets the flavors marry and come together.
That way when you serve it you will have all the flavors mixed into the mayonnaise and can taste everything together.
I’M NOT A FAN OF SPICE, CAN I LEAVE OUT THE PICKLED JALAPENOS?
Yes, you can absolutely leave them out. We like them because they really give this Homemade Tartar Sauce a nice flavor.
But if you are not a fan of spice, then you can absolutely leave them out. You do not need to replace them with any other ingredients.
