Potatoes are a delicious side dish, I could eat any variety of potatoes for any meal all the time. These Crispy Parmesan Potatoes are one of my favorites.
They are so easy to prep and with little work they come together nicely with a delicious taste that is like no other. They will quickly become one of your go-to recipes.
We have been making these for many years, with various different spices added to our parmesan mixture and we have finally came up with our favorite mixture of all.
Plus we always always always serve it with a dipping sauce, now that is completely optional but it really complements these Parmesan Potatoes so well.
You really can’t go wrong with a good potato side dish, it really goes well with a lot of different meals, and we love these because they pretty much go with everything.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED (FULL RECIPE AT BOTTOM):
Baby gold potatoes
Olive oil
Parmesan cheese
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Smoked paprika
Oregano or Italian seasoning
Salt
Pepper
Cayenne, optional
Sour cream
Milk
Green onions
HOW TO MAKE CRISPY PARMESAN POTATOES, STEP BY STEP:
- Preheat the oven to 400ยบ F.
- Make Sour Cream and Onion Dip by combining sour cream, milk, green onions, and onion powder in a small bowl. Set aside in the refrigerator.
- Mix parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper and cayenne (if using) together in a small bowl.
- Cut potatoes in half and set aside.
- Pour the olive in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, tilting the pan to coat the bottom completely. Using a spoon, sprinkle the parmesan mixture evenly over the olive oil. Donโt stir.
- Place the potatoes (cut side down) on the parmesan, pressing firmly.
- Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes and sprinkle with salt, if desired.
- Bake for 36-40 minutes, or until potatoes are soft and the parmesan is a dark golden brown.
- Let potatoes rest for 5 minutes to allow a nice crust to form. Use a spatula or fork to break the potatoes apart and flip them over.
- Serve from the baking dish, or remove to a platter.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve with Sour Cream and Onion Dip.
DO I HAVE TO USE BABY GOLD POTATOES?
No you do not have to use the baby gold potatoes if you are not a fan or cannot find them. You do want baby potatoes so the next best choice is baby red potatoes.
You can also use a mixture of potatoes if you want fun colors in your potatoes, both work very well with the flavor of these so either can be used regardless.

HOW TO STORE:
These are best served fresh from the oven. To keep for longer, store covered in the refrigerator of up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350ยบ F oven for 5-7 minutes or until hot and crispy.
To freeze, let potatoes cool then place in a freezer storage bag in a single layer. Freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat from frozen in a 400ยบ F oven for 20 minutes or until hot.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Baby red potatoes can be substituted.
- Use sweet Hungarian paprika or regular paprika in place of smoked paprika.
- Add a tablespoon of chopped jalapeรฑo to the Sour Cream and Onion Dip for added spice!
- This can be doubled to serve more people.
- The dipping sauce is optional but highly recommended.
