- Portion the burger mixture into four even portions.
- Form into patties make a small indent in the center or each of the burgers using your thumb, This helps the burgers from not getting too plump in the center while grilling.

- Once the cheese is melted and the burgers are done to your liking, serve them on your buns of choice and top with your favorite toppings.
AT WHAT TEMPERATURE ARE CHEESEBURGERS DONE?
This will vary on how you like your cheeseburger done, we prefer ours medium-well. Below you can find a doneness guide to show you at what temperature each doneness is. According to the USDA ground meat should be cooked to at least 160 degrees F.
- Rare – 120-125 degrees F
- Medium-rare – 130-135 degrees F
- Medium – 140-145 degrees F
- Medium-well – 150-155 degrees F
- Well-done – 160-165 degrees F
WHAT IS THE BEST CHEESE TO USE?
You really can’t go wrong with a classic slice of American cheese on your cheeseburger. But you can switch it up to other cheeses such as Monterey Jack, Colby Jack, Pepper Jack, Gouda, Mozzarella, etc.
Use what you like best, there is no right or wrong cheese when you are building YOUR perfect burger.
WHAT KIND OF TOPPINGS CAN I ADD?
Now this list is literally endless as there are so many ways to top your burger, some additions that are great include:
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Mayo
- Mustard
- Ketchup
- Onions
- Bacon
- Peanut butter (trust me so good)
These are just the beginning of toppings that you can add to your Cheeseburger Recipe, choose what you like and stick with it – or think outside the box and try something new.
HOW HOT SHOULD I HEAT MY GRILL?
We grill our patties on high heat. Some do medium high, but we like to do high heat. You can do some research on the best heat to grill hamburgers depending on your grill (charcoal/propane), time and doneness.
HOW TO STORE:
These can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator where they will last for up to 4 days.
To reheat, you can place on a baking sheet in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 8-10 minutes. You can also reheat these in the microwave on a microwave safe plate and heat in about 30-40 second intervals until heated through.
