WHAT GOES WELL WITH CHILI?
There are so many different dishes that make a great side for chili. If you want to stay healthier then you can stay along the lines of a simple side salad, some fresh roasted vegetables (although with this recipe you have them right in the chili itself).
IS CHILI GOOD FOR YOU?
While many people think of chili as a big greasy mess, that is far from the truth. This Sweet Potato Chili along with many other recipes are packed full of nutrients from added vegetables and lean ground meats. So yes chili can be good for you when you pack it full of delicious ness like the sweet potatoes and corn added to this recipe.
WHAT INGREDIENTS GO IN CHILI?
There are so many recipes out there but the basic chili starts with ground meat like beef or turkey. Diced tomatoes, Kidney beans like the S&W Beans we use in this recipe, garlic, spices and sometimes broth. We used broth in our Sweet Potato Chili since we omit the normal tomato sauce used in some recipes.
So if you’re a chili fan then you might want to give this Sweet Potato Chili a go! It’s a fun healthier twist on normal chili and with the addition of sweet potatoes, corn, etc you will have one healthy, hearty dish that you can’t stop making!
