CAN I MAKE THIS AHEAD OF TIME?
Yes, you can! This is something I recommend doing too because the dip has even more flavor the longer you can chill it in the refrigerator. So, if you make it tonight, use it tomorrow and the flavor will really be popping!
It’s the perfect party dip so you can make it ahead of time and have it on hand ready to go, leaving you more time to prep other things instead.
WHAT CAN YOU DIP IN THIS?
I love using crackers or crostini bread, and other little bread dippers. The crustier the bread, the better!
But, you can use vegetables for this as well, anything that you think would complement the dip nicely. Grab anything off a veggie tray and get to dippin’ in this tasty Olive Dip.
WHAT ELSE CAN I USE THIS DIP FOR?
If you have some leftover dip that you want to use for more than just dip, add some of this on a sandwich or as a smear on bagels, mixed into pasta salads and more.
HOW TO STORE:
Keep this dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can freeze it in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
Defrost by removing from the freezer into the refrigerator overnight until thawed, then serve.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- I like to serve this as a dip, but also use it as a condiment on sandwiches, bagels in salads and more!
- You’ll see whole olives in the pictures, but you can certainly use whole or sliced olives for the dip.
- This needs to be refrigerated for at least 4 hours, we do this so the flavors can marry. You can make this up to a day ahead of time.
- There are a ton of different dippable things you can serve with this dip. The crusty bread is a favorite, but you can see more options above.
- If you are not a salt fan, I suggest tasting the dip and then adding salt if need be. Some people want a less salty flavor and some people want more. You can also use different olive brands as some can be more potent than others.
