CAN I JUST USE CHICKEN WINGS OR DRUMMIES?
If you want to just use one or the other you can. We like the combination of both.
There are people in our family who prefer one or the other so we always include both in our chicken wing recipes.
DO I HAVE TO COAT IN THE SAUCE?
While that is the purpose of the recipe is to drench the chicken wings in the sauce, you can skip that.
I would say you can use the sauce as a dip for the wings but I highly suggest just pouring over the wings.
If you leave off you will still have the lemon pepper flavoring, but it won’t taste the same.
CAN THESE BE MADE IN THE AIR FRYER?
Yes! You will want to spray the wings with non-stick cooking spray before placing in the air fryer.
Heat at 400 for about 15-17 minutes, turning half way between the cooking time.
These will need to be cooked in batches as you do not want to have 2 pounds of wings in your air fryer and you want them placed in a single layer.
ARE THESE REALLY SALTY?
If using a lemon pepper seasoning that isn’t salt-free, I’d suggest using half of what is used in the recipe to avoid over-salting the wings.
HOW TO STORE:
While these are best served fresh, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator where they will keep for up to 4 days.
We do not recommend freezing these wings.
To reheat, place on a foil-lined sheet pan and bake in a 375 F preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes.
