Lemon Pepper Wings

Ingredients

  • 2- pound package chicken wingettes and drumettes thawed
  • 1 Tablespoon salt-free lemon pepper seasoning I used True Lemon brand

Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black peppercorns + more for topping
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Pat wings dry with a paper towel, then add to a mixing bowl, top with lemon pepper seasoning, then toss to coat.
  • Place wings in a single layer on prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 35-36 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until cooked through.
  • Prepare sauce while wings are baking: Add butter to a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until melted.
  • Add lemon juice and zest, and heat for another minute.
  • Add garlic seasoning, pepper, and salt, stir, then heat for another 2 minutes.
  • Add wings to a mixing bowl, pour sauce over top then mix to coat.
  • Top with freshly ground black pepper and chopped parsley, then serve.

Notes

  1. Easily double this recipe to make more for a larger crowd.
  2. We do not recommend freezing this recipe.
  3. Make sure to use a salt-free lemon pepper seasoning, if not use half the seasoning.
  4. These can be made in the air fryer, see above on how to do that.
  5. The cook time for your wings may vary, please check the internal temperature (at least 165 degrees F) before consuming.
