When it comes to tasty and easy party or snack food these Baked Buffalo Wings are the answer to everything. Simple to whip up and such a classic.
I’m addicted to all things wings. I love me some Buffalo Wings, I’m not opposed to spicy, but I also really love the sweet BBQ flavor as well.
My kids always beg me to make these Baked Buffalo Wings, they are more of the bone-in wing people whereas I’m more of the boneless wing person, like these Sweet & Spicy Boneless Chicken Wings are seriously my favorite.
But when it comes to a classic appetizer recipe you can’t go wrong with the Baked Buffalo Wings. They are healthier version than the battered and fried ones you’re used to.
But don’t be fooled, just because these are baked, doesn’t mean that they aren’t crispy! They are baked at a higher heat for a longer period of time to crisp up that skin making them still juicy, but crispy.
WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS:
- With only 6 ingredients total in the whole recipe, including the sauce, there is minimal effort when it goes into making these Baked Buffalo Wings.
- You can easily double or triple this recipe depending on how many mouths you are feeding.
- You can switch up the sauce to anything that you like, and even use bottled sauce if you wish, although the sauce in this recipe is super simple.
My favorite part of this recipe is how easy the prep is. When you can prep something and it take literally less than 5 minutes it is one recipe that I’m sold on.

HOW TO MAKE BUFFALO WINGS IN THE AIR FRYER:
Luckily for you, it is super simple to make Buffalo Wings in the air fryer. If you are new to air fryer cooking, this is really super simple.
- Start by patting your wings dry and tossing in the seasoning. Spray your air fryer basket with some non-stick cooking spray and layer into basket, making sure they aren’t touching.
- Heat your air fryer to 375 and cook wings for 12 minutes, then either shake basket, or remove and turn the wings over and cook for another 12 minutes.
- Increase your temperature and cook for another 5-7 minutes to crisp up the skin on the wings.
You will most likely have to do these in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
TIPS AND TRICKS FOR MAKING BAKED BUFFALO WINGS:
- To save time, buy the chicken wingettes that way you won’t have to cut and bread down each chicken wing.
- Pat your chicken wings dry as best you can before baking, this will help the seasoning not only stick to the wings but for them to crisp up better in the oven.
- Wings like to have some feathers still attached to them at times, so give them a once over before baking and remove any feathers that still may be on them.
- If you want to really crisp up the skin, broil at the end of baking for a few minutes before removing from oven.
If you want a classically easy appetizer recipe you can never go wrong with Baked Buffalo Wings, hearty, delicious and super simple to make.
