So I know that Spring and Summer are all about the cold pasta salads. Well, do you ever crave a warm and comforting salad this time of year? We sure do, thats why we make this creamy Garlic Parmesan Tortellini Salad!
This Tortellini Pasta Salad is super quick and easy to make and it is literally one of our favorite side dishes, especially this time of year. The peas and bacon make it a really fun spring/summer pasta that even the kids ask for seconds of! I mean how can you NOT want seconds of this.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU NEED?
- Tortellini
- Bacon
- Peas
- Parmesan
- Butter
- Flour
- Milk
- Garlic
- Salt & pepper
HOW DO YOU MAKE TORTELLINI SALAD?

Cook pasta according to package directions, throwing in peas the last few minutes of cooking.

Drain pasta and place into a medium to large bowl.

To make your sauce in medium saucepan heat your butter over medium heat until melted.

Add in your flour and stir for about 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in your milk until slightly thickened.

Stir in garlic, salt and pepper and cheese and let cook until cheese is melted and sauce has thickened.

Pour over your pasta and add your crumbled bacon.

Toss to coat.

Sprinkle with shredded parmesan if desired.
This is one of those pasta salad recipes that you cant say no to, well this one is one that we cant say no to. We literally inhale this any time that we make it, it is just that good!
WHAT IS TORTELLINI STUFFED WITH?
Usually when you buy frozen tortellini at the store you see the package labeled as three cheese. The cheeses in them is ricotta, parmesan and romano. While the meat versions are usually stuffed with pork loin, prosciutto and sometimes mortadella.
This Garlic Parmesan Tortellini Pasta just needs to happen as soon as possible! You won’t be sorry. Like I stated before the kids go nuts for this simple pasta dish, and you can never go wrong with a handy pasta side dish at your expense.

Ingredients
- 1 19 oz bag cheese tortellini
- 1/2-3/4 cup frozen peas
- 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
- Shredded parmesan for garnish
Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
- 2 Tbs butter
- 3 Tbs flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2-3 cloves garlic minced
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup grated or shredded parmesan cheese
