Olive oil
Onion
Garlic
Ground beef
Tomato sauce
Chicken stock
Rotini (or your favorite short pasta)
Italian seasoning
Heavy cream
Salt and pepper
Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Parsley, for serving (optional)
HOW TO MAKE CREAMY GROUND BEEF PASTA, STEP BY STEP:
- Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan or dutch oven over a medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and cook, stirring, for 4 minutes or until softened. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef and cook, stirring and breaking up any lumps, until no longer pink, drain.
- Add the tomato sauce, chicken stock, pasta, and Italian seasoning. Stir until combined. Bring to a simmer, then cover with a lid and reduce to a low-medium heat and cook for roughly 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the pasta is cooked.
- Stir tin the heavy cream and season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove from the heat.
- Divide the pasta between serving bowls, and top with parmesan cheese and chopped parsley, if desired.
CAN I USE ANOTHER TYPE OF PASTA?
Absolutely, we like to use rotini for this as it really soaks up the sauce and makes it declicious.
Some other pastas you can use include: penne, bowtie, cavatappi, shells, etc. Just make sure you are using the amount called for in the recipe.
WHAT ELSE CAN I ADD TO THIS GROUND BEEF PASTA?
There are some other fun additions you can add to this recipe if you are looking to sneak in some vegetables.
We like to add in mushrooms, diced tomatoes, spinach, corn, etc.

If you are not wanting to use ground beef for this recipe, you can use ground pork, ground chicken or ground turkey as well.
HOW TO STORE:
This can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator where it will keep for up to 2 days.
You can also freeze this Creamy Ground Beef Pasta. Place into a freezer container and it will keep for up to 3 months.
To defrost, remove to the refrigerator overnight until thawed. To reheat place in the microwave until heated through.
