Smooth ice cream blended with egg nog and rum topped with whip cream and toffee bits.
With the Holiday’s upon us and egg nog abound people are coming up with such creative ways to showcase it. They are baking it into breads, muffins, pancakes. Glazing their cookies and making bars and pies. Well I’m over here like….lets add some booze. I give you the Boozy Egg Nog Shake. Who doesn’t love ice cream in the winter? Now I can see popsicles being a weird thing this time of year but you can never go wrong with a little bit of ice cream.
So this year for Christmas we are taking our boys on a vacation. We leave tomorrow, woohoo. I can’t wait for you guy’s to check out the guest posts I have lined up for next week. They are great and I hope you love them as much a I do. I had to send you off into this weekend with a great recipe though. Something that you can it down with and relax and enjoy the great taste of the holidays.
As I’m hoping to keep this post short and sweet as there is still a bunch of packing and cleaning (yes I clean my house before we leave so I don’t have to come back to a dirty house) yet to do. I hope you all enjoy this recipe as much as we did. The little ones in my house even enjoyed a nice virgin one of this. But with the stress of the season I figured I’d kick it up a notch and add the alcohol so you guy’s can take a load off 🙂 Enjoy!
Boozy Egg Not Shake
- 1 cup butter pecan ice cream
- 1 cup egg nog
- 1 small bottle or 1 shot of Rum Chata or any rum will do
- Whip Cream
- Toffee Bits
- In blender mix together your ice cream, egg nog and rum.
- Blend until mixed well.
- In bottom of tall glass add toffee bits.
- Pour your ice cream mixture over.
- Top with whip cream and more toffee bits and enjoy!
