I love Baileys desserts! The flavor of the Irish Cream is absolutely wonderful in baking! However this is not a baking recipe, this is a Chocolate Milkshake recipe!
So let’s just say that your day just got a lot easier, because all you have to do is add some ingredients into a blender and you’re done.
How simple is that! I mean seriously! This Baileys Chocolate Milkshake is awesome, I almost don’t ever want a regular milkshake again, chocolate and Baileys go so well together.
I love baking with alcohol as much as I can because it can create a really amazing flavor combination, especially Irish cream and chocolate. Trust me.
If you are the milkshake drinking person then you need to try this Chocolate Milkshake, it is perfect drink for St. Patricks Day and we usually make one along with our green beer.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED (FULL RECIPE BELOW):
Ice cream
Irish Cream liqueur
Chocolate syrup
Whipped cream
Sprinkles
Maraschino cherry
HOW TO MAKE A BAILEYS CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE, STEP BY STEP:
- Add ice cream, Irish cream, and chocolate syrup to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup on the inside of a glass, if desired.
- Pour the milkshake into the prepared glass and top with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry, and serve with a straw.
See, told you that this Chocolate Milkshake is simple! You really can’t screw this one up, and I love having recipes that I can’t screw up because it does happen.
But Milkshakes are super simple and fun and you can make so many different crazy ones that it his beyond out of control some of them that I seen.
I like to enjoy myself the little simple pleasures of this Baileys Milkshake instead. 3 ingredients is fine by me any day.
Like I say more often than not, it’s the recipes with the least amount ingredients that just so happen to taste the best and this is one of them.
DO I HAVE TO USE BAILEYS?
No you don’t specifically have to use Baileys any Irish Cream flavored liquor will do. Some others that you can use include Saint Brendan’s, Five Farms, Carolans, Emmets and The Whistler just to name a few.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- This makes one Chocolate Milkshake, feel free to double or triple the recipe to make more.
- You can use any kind of Irish Cream that you like, Baileys is just our favorite.
- You can use chocolate or vanilla ice cream in this depending on how chocolatey you want it.
- We use a regular blender for this, but you can use an immersion blender as well.
- The toppings are optional but high encouraged to get that fun milkshake vibe going on.
