Yay for Mondays right? I hope you all had a safe and Merry Christmas! Ours was good and pretty quiet which is nice. Sometimes getting away from all the hustle and bustle of everything is just what the doctor ordered. I hate when you have to take 2 or so days just to wind down from something, so not having to do that this year was perfect. We got to just enjoy our little family and set up the kid’s toys and relax for the most part. I couldn’t of asked for more. Read more
Like all good things Salted Caramel Week has to come to an end. I’ve had so much fun creating and sharing all these salted caramel recipes with you. Do you think this is something that you’d like to see every year around this time as salted caramel is a big holiday flavor? Or is there any other “week” you’d like to see? Cookie week, egg nog week, gingerbread week? Let me know and I can jump to the task. Read more
With a moist cake crust this Pumpkin Spice No Bake Cheesecake is a fun fall recipe that is light airy and full of flavor!
I can’t believe that it’s already Thursday! I’m so excited for this week to be done! My husband and myself are going away on a little mini vacation this weekend across the state and over into Wisconsin and I am so excited. With all the craziness going on and not seeing my husband too often these days because he’s been so busy at work, this is well deserved but even more well needed. PLUS it’s supposed to be in the upper 70’s! Who could ask for a better outcome! Read more
Another Monday is upon us! And we are only a few day’s away from the official day of fall! I hope everyone had an enjoyable last weekend of summer. I got the liberty of unloading patio block with my husband. I must say I’m one hurting unit today. 170 16×16″ 40 lb blocks by hand. Yup, you better believe that his girl is SORE! But in the end hopefully replacing our side walks at our house will be worth this painstaking labor my husband put me through. Lol, just kidding it wasn’t too bad. But I definitely give mad props to all you hard-working laborers out there! That is seriously some tough work. At least my husband took me out for breakfast to repay me for my kind service. Read more
Good morning everyone. Well it is now the second day of school and it seemed to be a lot easier to get my kids up and going today then it was yesterday. I hope that we fall into this routine for a while, because I know what it’s like to try to wake kids up repeatedly with no avail and I’m not looking to have a repeat of that this year. Usually it’s a problem of them not going to bed at a decent time and not wanting to get up. I have a bedtime of 8:00 in my house, but my kids seem to want to stay up chatting until who knows when. I’m sure we have all had our little culprits, then in the morning you got the cranky sad eyed little kids who complain that they are so tired, well kid, your fault not mine. I did my motherly duty of setting and enforcing a bed time. Sheesh! Read more
I hope everyone had a happy and safe Labor Day weekend. It’s that time of year again, I sent my babies back to school today. I’ve been watching all you mom’s via Facebook, Twitter and blogs sending your little ones back to school for the past month and finally today it was my turn. Almost cried, but I held it back. Figured they are getting older and I can save my tears for when the little princess starts school. Luckily she’s stuck with mom for another few years. Since I’m sharing a lovely Lemon recipe today I can still pretend that it’s still summer right? Read more
So I am happy to say that I have a house full of semi-well people! My son is completely over his stomach bug, woo hoo! I am so happy that as of yet I havent gotten sick. Usually I’m the first one to get sick after my kids come home with the crud. My husband on the other hand seems to be immune. That also could be because he avoids us like the plague when anyone when we are sick. Gee, I wish I could avoid everyone when they are sick, guess it comes with the territory of being Dr. Mom!
