Jello Pie has been apart of my life for many many years. Growing up someone always brought a Jello Pie to a gathering, so we have been making this pie for years!
It was either a Jello Pie or Jello Mold. I was more of the Jello Pie kind of girl. This Lime Jello Pie has always been one of my favorites. I love the flavor of anything lime.
Plus it is SUPER easy to put together, the hardest part about this pie is the waiting for it to set up. If you have read any of my recipes for a period of time I always say that the wait is worth it!
When I can make something sweet and I don’t have to heat up the kitchen then I’m sold! Plus my kids absolutely love this, they love jello and pie so the two together they can’t get enough.
We make this Jello Pie and other various Jello Pies multiple times during the year, it doesn’t have to be warm out to have a cool pie, I feel like it is great all year long!
Some of my other favorite pie recipes we have on our site include Coconut Cream Pie, Peach Pie and Strawberry Pie!

This is such a versatile pie and, I love giving my readers base recipes that you can really make your own and try with different flavors.
You will have to come back and tell me if you tried this Lime Jello Pie as is or if you tried it with a different jello flavor and what you thought of it!
Really we just can’t get enough of it. It is one of those pies that just remind me of my childhood since it was made so often.
Those recipes to me are the best and are near and dear to my heart, so this Lime Jello Pie among others are one of our favorites ever and we will keep on making it.
It is really fun to make if you have kids as well as there really is no dangerous aspect as in using an oven or chopping.
CAN I MAKE MY OWN CRUST?
Yes absolutely, we make our own crust often, but sometimes we just want to use a pre-made crust from the store. So yes you can make your own homemade crust if you prefer!
HOW TO STORE?
This will need to be refrigerated unless serving, this will keep stored in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap for up to 3-4 days.
You can freeze this, but sometimes freezing can change the texture of the pie when it is defrosted. I recommend doing so before decorating the top and right after pouring into your crust.
Cover with foil or plastic wrap and this pie should last for up to 1 month. Let defrost in the refrigerator before serving, or serve completely frozen as well.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Use the graham cracker crust with 2 extra servings.
- You can use any kind of jello flavor that you like as long as it is the 3 oz package.
- If you are using a different jello flavor make sure to use a yogurt that complements the jello.
- This can be frozen, see my recommendations above.
- You can make your own pie crust, if doing so use a deep dish pie plate.

Loved it! I made this today as our St. Patrickโs Day green-themed treat and it was a hit. Super easy to make, light and refreshing!
When I first started, I was almost certain the 1/4 cup water requirement was a typo and that it was supposed to be 1 1/4. But nope! The quarter cup was perfect and the pie was fantastic. Thank you for the great, simple recipe!
Shirley
I used strawberry jello with lime juice and yogurt. Delish! Thanks for the recipe. So versatile!
