So we love pumpkin around these here parts, but I’ve never been a fan of pumpkin pie itself. I know it’s weird, but it is what it is.
So anything pumpkin that you can think of I love, especially when it comes to this Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Pudding Pie!
This pie is silky and creamy and it’s no bake which makes it amazing. I love simple pies like this that are just mix and go and really take no effort, it is really a twist on the classic version and the flavor is out of this world.
Since it is almost officially fall I’ve been whipping up all the pumpkin dishes, but this one is still good for the warmer weather that some people might be having. It was almost 100 degrees here in Minnesota this past weekend.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to enjoy these last few nice days of summer because I was struck with the “back to school” cold. You know that sickness that seems to invade the home once the kids go back to school and bring home all those germs, yeah I got blessed with that.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU NEED?
- Milk
- Vanilla pudding
- Mini chocolate chips
- Pumpkin
- Pumpkin pie spice
- Whipped topping
- Graham cracker pie crust
Again another recipe that has minimal ingredients and if you are like me and love pumpkin season then you most likely have all these ingredients already on hand which makes it easy and convenient.
Out of all the pumpkin pies that I have made this Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Pudding Pie is one of the best pumpkin pies that I have ever had.

My parents were fighting me for this one, so in the end they usually end up with the majority of it because I’m one of those people who like everything in moderation and this was just too good to go to waste so they happily took it from me.
This gets requested more often then not of any of my other pumpkin pie recipes that I have made! While my husband and kids will always be a fan of the traditional pumpkin pie, this one has been one of their most loved recipes.
HOW DO YOU MAKE THIS CHOCOLATE CHIP PUMPKIN PUDDING PIE?
- In bowl whisk together your milk and pudding until smooth and thick.
- Folding your chocolate chips, pudding and pumpkin pie spice until combined.
- Fold in 2 cups of your whipped topping until smooth.
- Spread into prepared pie crust and refrigerate for about 3 hours until set.
- Remove from refrigerator and spread remaining whipped topping over the top of pie and then shave some chocolate over the top for garnish or sprinkle with additional mini chocolate chips if desired.
The worst part is waiting for this pie to set up, which in reality doesn’t take the longest time but it’s super hard to not just eat that filling straight out of the bowl and have it make it to the actual pie stage.
Creamy and easy is the two words that come to mind when I think of this recipe. Silky is another, so when it comes to this pie you’re not lacking in anything!
