So Mother Nature seriously needs to make up her mind. It has been in the 40’s and 50′ here lately and now today it is going to be upwards of 80’s. Ugh, I hate being teased. Makes me miss summer that much more. I am definitely not a cold weather girl. I don’t circulate and I always have the coldest hands. You will never see me without a jacket, or sweatshirt unless its 75+. I know I’m crazy but this gal’s body just doesn’t want to regulate heat. So what else can I do? Happy Friday my lovlies! I can’t believe it’s finally Friday. Not like I have too much planned but I mean it’s Friday who doesn’t celebrate! Well I suppose the people who have to work the weekends. Which I know ALL TO WELL! My boys are leaving today to go to the cities (Twin Cities) as we refer to them as to their aunt’s house for the weekend. A little tradition they get to do every year around this time. They get to go do all the harvest activities down there like the well-known corn maze. They are so excited! Happy first day of Fall ya’ll. Ha, love that saying. We are expected to have some thunderstorms here in Minnesota today. I don’t see why we barely have any during the summer, but once fall comes its massive overload of rain and storms. I’m not going to complain though. I love the rain, I love being able to just hang out inside with my kids and watch movies and bake. Rain affords me to do that. That way I don’t feel guilty about not being outside on a nice warm sunny day. Read more
Can you believe it’s already Wednesday? This week is going quickly, which I love. I am so ready for the weekend. Looking forward to doing a whole bunch of nothing. I bought the kids a new little pool since our other one had a hole in it and they popped the end of our slip n slide. Don’t even get me started on our sprinkler. So yesterday was quite interesting. Woke up and everything was fine. But over this past week I have been complaining about an odd smell coming from our vents when the air kicks on. FINALLY I got my husband to go investigate. Yup, we had sewer backing up into our basement. How did we not notice you ask? Well our house is over 100 years old and our basement is more of a cellar that houses our water heater and our water softener. Needless to say we don’t go down their often. Read more
