You all know that I’m a mom to 4 amazing kids right? This summer has been really hard with all the kids home with work and suiting everyones needs, especially food wise. My kids are all 100% different on what they like to eat and they like things in all ways shapes and forms.
One thing that I do love is that they love to help me in the kitchen, which is one of my most favorite things in the world. When you make a career out of cooking and baking, you obviously want to pass along the love that you have for what you do to your children.
So we like to come up with a lot of “different,” fun, and unique combinations of food and be creative in the kitchen whenever we can. Trust me, it’s not just to appease the kids; I like to be a kid at heart too!
Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches are one of the most classic and beloved sandwiches and back to school meals for my kids. And who can make that combo any better than Jifยฎ Peanut Butter and Smuckerโsยฎ Strawberry Jam? We easily and conveniently pick up this perfect PB&J combo at our local Walmart!
Can you believe that school is just around the corner, and has actually already started for some people?! My kids don’t go back to school until after Labor Day, so they get a nice, long summer, but we have been prepping for some fun and easy ideas for this back to school season.
Jif and Smucker’s go hand-in-hand and are the go-to brand when it comes to PB&J Sandwiches, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We love giving our kids Jif and Smucker’s because they have a nice, rich and fruity flavor and I can’t even begin to tell you the easy spreadability of both! One thing I hate is peanut butter and jelly that rip your bread when you try to spread them.
With these two, you don’t have that problem and you get a nice clean spread each and every time! So it really makes making those back to school lunches just that much easier.
Since my kids are all so different, I’ve created a few different options for different types of sandwiches that you can make your kids!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED!
- Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
- Smucker’s Strawberry Jam
- Marshmallow Creme
- Bread
- Peanuts
- Chocolate chips
- Sprinkles
- Cookie Cutters
We made four different options of our Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches! We did a Peanut Butter Fluffernutter Sandwich, Peanut Butter Jelly Fairy Sandwich, a shaped Peanut Butter Jelly and Peanuts Sandwich, and a Peanut Butter Jelly and Chocolate Chip Sandwich!
These are all SUPER easy to make. You can create shapes out of pretty much any sandwich that you choose to make by using a cookie cutter of your choice and cutting shapes out of the bread before spreading your peanut butter and jelly.
Like I said, all my kids are so different on their wants and likes that making all of these is almost a must in our house, but thatโs completely fine because they are super easy and fast to make! So there is no losing in that situation!
