WHAT KIND OF RUM IS BEST FOR THIS?
You can use your favorite rum, gold, white or dark rum. We really like spiced rum so a lot of the times we will use Captain Morgan for this recipe.
But you can use any rum that you have on hand at home, or find your favorite and use that this will work with any type!

Absolutely, if you are a non drinker or if you just do not want to have alcohol in this you can replace the rum in this recipe with coconut milk and some rum extract if desired!

Yes! It is a great recipe to double especially for holiday parties, serve it from a punch bowl so everyone can get their own.
It also makes great holiday gifts as well if you have friends that appreciate a great drink gift.
HOW MUCH RUM SHOULD I USE?
This is really a personal preference, if you want to start off with a lower amount I would start off with 1/2 cup.
Mix everything together and you can add more as you go, I would not go over 1 cup of rum in this recipe.
HOW TO STORE:
The best thing about this Coquito Recipe is that it stores well, you can keep this covered in the refrigerator where it will keep for up to 1-2 months thanks to the alcohol.
After it does sit for a bit it will develop a film over the top, that is just the coconut fat that separates and solidifies. Just stir it and it will combine again.
