Raspberry Lemonade Floats are a refreshingly tangy and sweet non alcoholic beverage that the whole family will love! This frozen treat combines raspberry lemonade with cool lemon sherbet, juicy raspberries, and fizzy club soda for a crowd pleasing warm weather drink!
Hi, everyone! Nichole here from The Salty Marshmallow and I am super excited to be contributing a recipe post for my friend Allison today!
As soon as March hits I can already taste that spring and summer warm air coming. Even if it is still 40 degrees and dreary outside. But, something about being ready for summer way too early also has me craving all kinds of fruity and refreshing drinks regardless of the weather. Luckily, these raspberry lemonade floats are so good, they’re super easy to enjoy year round!
Ice cream floats were always a staple treat during my childhood. Anyone else remember when you could go to certain restaurants and get the Coca-Cola ice cream float glasses to take home with you? I’m pretty sure I still have a couple somewhere!
So, I got to thinking. Why not adventure out of the Coke/Root Beer comfort zone and create a float that is a whole lot more flavorful, colorful, and exciting all around? I knew it had to be with lemonade for sure. Lemonade is that classic drink everyone craves when it’s warm outside.
HOW TO MAKE RASPBERRY LEMONADE FLOATS:
These floats are so easy to make, and they’re ready for sipping in just a few minutes!
For this recipe you can use either lemon sorbet or lemon sherbet. I’ve found that either gives the float that nice creamy texture I’m looking for.
You can use raspberry lemonade that is frozen from concentrate and prepared, or, you can use the powdered raspberry lemonade mix if that’s what you keep on hand. I do prefer to use the frozen concentrate because it’s nice and cold as soon as I mix it up.
For a large 12-16 ounce glass you’ll want 2-3 scoops of your sorbet or sherbet. Then, simply fill the glass about ยพ full with the raspberry lemonade, then to the top with your club soda. Garnish with fresh raspberries if desired, and enjoy!
