- 3 ounce package strawberry jello mix
- ⅔ cup boiling water
- 1 cup ice water
- 8 ounces whipped topping plus more for serving (optional)
- 9- inch graham cracker crust with 2 extra servings
- Fresh strawberries for serving optional
In a large bowl, add the strawberry jello mix, then add the boiling water and whisk to combine until the jello is dissolved.
Into the same bowl, add the ice water and continue to whisk until it combines and starts to thicken slightly.
Fold in the whipped topping until smooth and combined.
Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes until it starts to thicken.
Remove from the refrigerator and add the filling to the graham cracker crust and smooth out the top.
Place in the refrigerator and chill for about 4 hours or overnight is best, until set.
Serve with whipped cream and fresh strawberries if desired.
- Switch up your jello flavors, see some of my suggestions above.
- If you want to make your own homemade whipped topping you can, but we feel like store-bought holds up better.
- This can be frozen, see above on how to do that.
- Add in some mini marshmallows or diced strawberries for a little texture contrast.
- Switch up the crust by using vanilla wafers, chocolate graham cracker or even an Oreo crust.
- Make sure that you are using a pie crust that says 2 extra servings.
- This needs to chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
- Use sugar-free jello if you'd like.
