Homemade Peppermint Patties
Why buy store bought when you can make these easy peasy Homemade Peppermint Patties at home? Minty, chocolatey and absolutely delicious!

- 3 cups powdered sugar sifted
- 2 Tablespoons evaporated milk
- 2 Tablespoons corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 Tablespoons shortening
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 1 ½ cups dark chocolate chips or chunks
Add powdered sugar, milk, corn syrup, extracts, and shortening to a mixing bowl and mix until combined.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls using a cookie scoop or your hands and place on prepared pan.
Flatten each ball into ¼-inch thick, using a spatula, the bottom of a glass, or even the palm of your hand.
Chill patties in the refrigerator or freezer for 1-2 hours.
Add coconut oil and chocolate to a small heat-proof bowl and microwave for 90 seconds in 15 second increments, stirring between each one until smooth.
Using a fork, dip each patty into the chocolate, coating entire thing, then placing back onto baking sheet.
Refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
Serve and enjoy.
- Use semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips instead of dark.

- Do not skip the chilling of the filling, this is essential so that it doesn't melt when dipped in the chocolate.
