A super easy and versatile recipe, this Avocado Ranch is a great dipping sauce or accompaniment to some of your favorite meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 medium avocado mashed
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 4 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice fresh squeezed
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Add the buttermilk, mayonnaise, avocado, cilantro, green onions, garlic, lime juice, dill, salt, cumin, and pepper to a food processor.
  • Blend until mixture is smooth. Serve right away or transfer to a container to store in the refrigerator.

Notes

  1. Make sure you use buttermilk for this recipe so it gets the thickness and creaminess that you'll enjoy.
  2. Do not try to freeze.
  3. Bottled lime juice or distilled white vinegar can be used in place of fresh limes.
  4. This is great served with many things, see above for ideas.
  5. This can be a topper as well for steaks, tacos, pasta salads, etc.
