Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and line a 9x13” pan with parchment paper.
Make the brownie batter, in a large bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, melted butter and hot coffee until smooth; let cool.
Add the sugar, egg and vanilla and stir until combined.
Then add the flour, salt and baking powder until incorporated.
Stir in the chocolate chips and pour into prepared 9x13” pan.
Make the cookie dough by creaming the butter and sugars in the bowl of a stand mixer until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla and egg and mix until combined.
Then add the salt, baking powder, baking soda and flour until incorporated.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonful’s over the brownie batter.
Sprinkle the chopped chocolate over the brookies and bake for 30-35 minutes.
