A super fun and colorful recipe, these Cookie Monster Cookies are a play on a fun character but also a delicious and flavorful dessert you don't want to miss out on making.

- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar packed
- ½ cup salted butter melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon royal blue gel food coloring
- 2 cups all-purpose flour scooped and leveled
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- 5 Oreo cookies crushed (plus 3 extra for garnish)
- 5 Chips Ahoy cookies crushed (plus 3 extra for garnish)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together (or use an electric hand mixer) the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla and, food coloring until fully combined.
Stir in the flour and baking soda.
Fold in the white chocolate chips, Oreos and chips ahoy cookies until just combined.
Use a 1 ½ Tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop the cookies onto the prepared baking sheet, placing them about 1 inch apart.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are just set.
Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
- These cookies do not require any chilling.
- You can freeze the cookie dough beforehand, see above on how to to do that.
- Make sure you are using a gel food coloring.
- Pull them from the oven while they are slightly under-baked. They will continue to cook as they cool on the baking pan.
- These can be frozen, see above on how to do that.
- You can double this recipe, although it does make a large batch already.
- Top with more cookies and chocolate chips for a pretty presentation.
